the "Great Dictator" Speech given by Charlie Chaplin


It is idealism at its highest. I felt moved by this speech.

On a side note, I liked the idea that technology is meant by its function to bring us together. The internet as the extension of air planes and radios has done more to create a common identity (though it has also been the platform for very divisive and hateful talk). On what grounds can we say it is true that we want to reach out and work with one another? Is that human nature? Is that the end for which we strive?
